Qiniso Mabaso is a Gospel Singer and Song writer from Kabokweni, Nelspruit in Mpumalanga. Born in 1988 (From a family of eight siblings), She Started singing at the age of 9 in a trio alongside her mother and twin sister. She accepted Christ at the age of 12 and started writing songs a year later.
She worked as a backing vocalist for many successful Mpumalanga Gospel artists and then went solo later in 2015 which resulted in the release of her Awards winning 13 Track debut album titled UMILE NJALO in March 2016.
The album consists of beautiful songs like: Umile njalo, Ngisamangele, Mhalamhala yaXikwembu just to mention a few.
In October 2018 she released a 15-track album titled Uyasilwela which was well received and is still doing well in the market. The 2nd album was followed by a Single titled Ngenzel’umusa in September 2022, followed by another single titled Kuyolungiswa nguye in December 2024 and is currently working on completing a 3rd album titled Kuyolungiswa nguye.
Qiniso Mabaso has successfully bagged 8 Awards in the Ministry in the past 9 years which includes (Best New Comer, Best Song of the year, Best Female, Best Worship song, Best Classic of all times, etc). She is humbled and Grateful to God and the Supporters.
Qiniso Mabaso is inspired by the likes of Ntokozo Mbambo and Hlengiwe Mhlaba in the industry.
She was previously featured in an amazing project by Rising Sun Choir and did a song titled Ngisamangele which was received well.
In the amazing albums and the recently released Singles she has worked with Mangaliso”Goje” Sibande as a producer together with some of the Mpumalanga backing vocalists. She believes that there is many more amazing music to come!!!!
Qiniso Mabaso studied Chemical Engineering & Laboratory Technology and has previously work as a Lab analyst for 18 years. She has since decided to change careers from the Engineering to the Financial industry.
She successfully wrote and passed Regulatory exams 1 and 5 and is now a qualified and authorized financial planner.
She has graduated 1st year at CFCI Bible college and is now doing 2nd year. She is also completing her Diploma in Early childhood development and is studying towards a teacher’s degree.
Qiniso Mabaso is the founder of the QINISO MABASO FOUNDATION, a registered NPO focusing on assisting the communities (focusing on effects of broken bonds, separations and failed relationships) and giving back where we can (Donations, etc).
She recently partnered with Childline south Africa and is excited about the journey.
Her newly attained role is that of a Radio Presenter at Ubuthebe FM (UB-FM Live), Every Sunday between 06:00 and 09:00 in a show called “Beyond Worship with Pastor Q” and she is very excited about it and looking forward to a successful journey and a growing career.
